BSc (Hons) in Computer Science

You must be 18 years or older at the time of application.

It is a requirement is that you have completed upper secondary (high) school education, with Math’s, statistics, or equivalent subjects with a grade B minimum.

Examples of qualifying educations are School Leaving Certificate Examinations, IB: 28 points with 625 in HL, Higher Secondary School Certificate( H.S.C.) or equivalent.

The qualifying education needs to be passed with a GPA of at least 2,75 or equivalent. 

We do not accept applications that do not meet the requirement mentioned above. As an example, a diploma degree does not meet the minimum requirement and the application will be rejected.

The following English language qualifications are accepted at the level specified:

• IELTS Academic: module overall 6.5, no band below 6,0
• PTE Academic: overall score at least 58, one band is allowed to be under 58, but no score below 55
• TOEFL: 83 overall, one band is allowed to be under 20, but no band below 17

Test results may be no older than 2 years.

A motivational letter with a focus on relevant work experience. The relevant work experience is a requirement for any applicant that has a study gap over 2 years.

The motivational letter should be maximum 1 page and focus on personal experience rather than information.

The application form should be submitted by the deadlines listed above. Early application is recommended.

Admission decisions will be announced no later than 4 weeks after the application deadline.

An online application form should be submitted in accordance with the deadlines provided in the application and admission sections.

Applicants will be called in for a virtual interview with the Dean of Academic Affairs or one of his colleagues to discuss their motivation for applying to the programme as well as to review their qualifications. You cannot be accepted on the programme without an interview.

Seats are limited, so make sure to apply as soon as possible to secure your place. Please note applications for more than one programme will take longer to process and could take up to 6 weeks after the deadline. As interest is high, early submission is recommended.

International students living abroad should be aware of the extra time required for obtaining a visa and residence permit – in many cases 3 months or more.

Early Admission

Accepted: Your place in Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College's first-year class is secured, pending completion of payment.

Deferred: Your credentials will be revisited within the context of the regular admission pool of applicants.

Denied: If you are denied admission under early admission, you may not reapply for admission under regular admission during the same year.

Regular Admission

If you didn't apply within early admission, you will be considered under regular admission. This means that you will get a response after the regular admission deadline.

If you are accepted into the programme, a Letter of Acceptance including payment details will be sent to the email address provided in the application form.

NOTE: Once you have been accepted into the programme, the first tuition payment needs to be made by the due date stated in your Letter of Acceptance.

Within 10 days of having received the payment, Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College will send you a signed ST1 residence permit application form by email, allowing you to begin the visa application process.

The UK programmes from De Montfort University are regularly evaluated by the Danish Evaluation Institute (EVA). The EVA approvals are valid for three years and have a direct impact on the issuing of student visas by the Danish Immigration Authorities. Student visas cannot be issued beyond the validity period of the EVA approvals.

Student visas may not cover the full period of study in the years when individual programmes are being re-evaluated by EVA. Therefore, students must apply for a visa extension covering the period of study exceeding the current EVA approval.

Please note that the Danish Immigration Authorities will require the standard processing fees for the visa extension and the family reunification visas will also have to be extended.

NBCBC will provide all supplementary documentation free of charge but does not fund any visa processing fees imposed by the Danish Immigration Authorities.

The total tuition fee is DKK 292,000.

Please note that fees and deadlines may vary depending on the intake.

A Windows-based laptop is included in the tuition. Therefore, you do not need to bring your own.

For the BSc (Hons) Computer Science programme, there is an Entry Scholarship of up to DKK30,000.   

• Eligibility criteria: Open to international (non-EU/EEA) applicants from countries underrepresented among the Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College student body, these numbers are reviewed every November and take effect the following academic year.
  
  
• Application deadline: All international applicants who wish to be considered for scholarships must apply normally for the chosen programme by the stated deadlines.  
  
  The outcome of the scholarship application will be stated in the letter of acceptance.
  
  
• Selection Criteria:  First, you must be selected for admission based on our admission process. Secondly, you must be a citizen of a country with representation of less than 10% amongst the Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College’s entire student body. 

How to Apply

You will be automatically awarded the scholarship and informed through your Letter of Acceptance. You do not need to do anything in addition to submitting a full application by the application deadline. 

Disbursement of the Scholarship

The scholarship will be spread out over the three years of study with an even amount being deducted from each year’s tuition.
